AOAO‑Focused FAQ
Who owns the system?
Star Energy (or financing partner) owns, operates, and maintains the PV + BESS. The AOAO purchases energy via the PPA—no ownership risk or capex.
What bills do you need?
Common‑area electric bills and a 5–10% sampling of unit bills. We also perform two meter reads and a roof walk to validate load and layout.
Will this disrupt residents?
We coordinate closely with the GM for safe, phased work windows. Typical common‑area outages are brief and scheduled.
What if a hurricane comes?
Systems use hurricane‑rated attachments and are engineered for local wind and salt conditions per code.
What about TOU or tariff changes?
Our modeling considers realistic utility escalations. The PPA provides a predictable baseline with a low 1% escalator.
Can we add EV chargers?
Yes. We can include EV‑ready infrastructure now and scale charging later.
